Meal worms are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals which makes them a perfect part of the reptile diet, as well as being an important food source for many species of birds. As long as they’re kept refrigerated, they will last for a number of weeks.

Mealworm Care Instructions
Keep mealworms in the refrigerator (45°) and remove once a week to add a slice of fruit or vegetable in the cup. Leave out for 8 hours at this time, then remove the fruit or vegetable slice and return to the refrigerator. Your Mealworms should last for weeks.
When you are ready to use them, remove the desired amount and leave at room temperature until they become active, roughly 24 hours before feeding to your animal.
If you plan to keep the Mealworms for longer than two weeks, remove them from the refrigerator, and let them become active. Once they become active, place a slice of potato on the top of the bedding to provide moisture, and let them sit for 24 hours. Then, place them back in the refrigerator.
